An official remix version of “Cheap Thrills” features vocals by Jamaican performer Sean Paul, it was made available for digital download on 11 February 2016 as the record’s second single. While the original edition of “Cheap Thrills” portrays a pop song with elements of electropop, the latter version contains influences of Jamaican reggae. The song was originally meant for Rihanna’s Anti (2016), but after she turned it down, Sia decided to keep it and use it for her seventh studio album. In the United Kingdom, “Cheap Thrills” reached number two on the UK Singles Chart, marking Sia’s highest peak as a lead artist in the United Kingdom.
