US singer Ariana Grande, whose performed at the Manchester Arena concert was targeted during the 22 May terrorist attack, played a star-studded televised concert to honour the victims. The benefit gig, broadcast on BBC One, saw some of the biggest names in music assemble alongside the 23-year-old pop star to help raise funds for those who were injured and the relatives of those who died in the attack. Highlights on the night included a surprise appearance from Liam Gallagher, as well as a soulful performance of the song Somewhere Over The Rainbow, delivered by Grande to close the concert, which left viewers watching back home, as well as those at the concert itself, deeply affected.


“Side to Side” is a song recorded by American pop singer Ariana Grande, released on 30 August 2016 as the third single for her studio album, Dangerous Woman (2016). The song features guest vocals from Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj. The artists co-wrote the song with Savan Kotecha, Alexander Kronlund, Max Martin, and Ilya Salmanzadeh, while the latter two handled the song’s production. It is a reggae-pop song. Commercially, “Side to Side” has reached a peak of number 18 in the United States, number 6 in the United Kingdom, number 3 in Australia, and number 2 in New Zealand.

Its music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, made its premiere on American clothing brand Guess’s website on 28 August 2016, shortly after a performance of the song at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. “Side to Side” made its debut at number 31 on the US Billboard Hot 100 dated 17 September 2016. The song has since reached number 18 on that chart.

She has released three studio albums, one remix album, three extended plays, twenty-six singles (including four as a featured artist), five promotional singles and twenty music videos. After signing with Republic Records, she released her debut single, “Put Your Hearts Up”, on 12 December 2011. The song was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
